What are some good supplements for building strength/muscle and reducing body fat?
Friday, July 24th, 2009I am in very good shape already but want to add some more muscle and strength and lower my body fat %. What are some good supplements that I can buy from a "GNC" or something that can help me get over the "hump?"
There is only one thing that builds muscle. Protien. Muscles are protien, and require protien to repair themselves. If you want to build muscle you NEED to increase your protien intake. Make it whey protien, it is the most efficient protien for the human body. Eggs follow closely. GNC sells thier name brand 100% pure whey protien in a variety of flavors for much less than all fancy, shiney, labratory-created products that line the shelves.
Cant help you with the body fat reducing supplements, honestly they make me nervous. Just the exercising and moderate diet control will do that for you. Make sure you are doing cardio along with the weight training. Yes weight training burns some body fat, and the more muscle mass you have, the more calories you burn – even when you are sleeping. But, nothing burns fat like 30 mins or more of cardio, 5 times a week.
Muay thai in mma?
Friday, July 24th, 2009Is it just me, or does everybody make a huge deal about muay thai in mma?
Most of the time when i watch mma i see really none..a few low kicks, no muay thai stance…not really anything…i know muay thai is a supplement..but i really dont see much "real muay thai" in mma
(i know there are exceptions ie Anderson silva etc.)
can someone enlighten me, or am i completely thinking out of wack?
thanks
though i coulda sworn cung le was a san shou fighter….
Katana-yep you really do gotta pay attention lol.
Not many high-level fighters in MMA have an obvious fighting style. Guys that are one-dimensional don’t have success anymore. MMA training camps have, for the last couple years, been training pure MIXED martial arts.
Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling all have very different stances in the stand up game. MMA practicioners have combined them into a generic stance which optimizes striking while maintaining distance to prevent a takedown.
So a lot of individual "styles" won’t be visible, but the techniques emplyed in each of those styles have been mixed together into a truly MIXED martial art that enables each fighter to have the best chance to win.
Muay Thai fighters out there?
Friday, July 24th, 2009Hey all, should be having my first fight in 3 months. Any tips? I will be training 4 times a week 2 hours a night. Should I take any supplements or anything? I am 55kg need to get back down to 50kg which is my usual weight although just had 2 months holidays and put on wieght.. so now need to drop back..
Hey, just a word of warning, don’t over work yourself. You have three months to drop 5 kg, and that is enough time. Running is good, but dont do it every day, at the most, do it every other day, and try to run on grass. Constant running on pavement can lead to stress fractures in your legs, and it hurts like hell.
One of the best thinks that you can do is jump rope. Go out, take a timer with you, set it for 30 seconds (in which you dont stop until the time is out) and work yourself up to two minutes. Buy some wrist and ankle weights, and practice your punches and kicks with them on.
As for supplements, since your trying to lose the 5 kg, i wouldn’t take anything more than a protein shake.
Some crunches, push-ups, pull-ups, sprints, weight lifting, leg pressing. Also do sparring in this time (not hard enough to where you can get serioulsy hurt). And do alot of cardio and lung work out.
Also meditate 5-10 minutes everyday. It will help your focus and keep you relaxed.
Oh, and one more thing, when you have some down time, lay on your bed and imaginge yourself in a fight. Counter the kicks and punches that the guy is throwing.
As for your fight, just relax, keep a cool head, and have some fun. Remember one thing:
Control the outcome of the fight, it’s on you.
Can body building supplements that are non-steroidal shrink your, um, package?
Friday, July 24th, 2009My "friend" is taking all these supplements and strange concoctions to build up his muscle mass……. I told him it would be effing hilarious when his well endowment shrunk to minuscule proportions. He says not to worry cause he has a jes pump.
But seriously, can it shrink it? Just curious.
He would do well to get some healthy hill walking this is good muscle building and eat some spinach, Olives ugg ugg ugg ugg ugg ugg! Instead of up-hill gardening and acting gay
Whats the best supplement to use for strength or a good test booster? Answers aappreciated thanks?
Friday, July 24th, 2009Im tryin to get buff and really strong for Boxing ,and MMA.
I’d have to say Animal Stak.
However it’s really personal preference, but Animal Stak has estrogen blockers, so atleast you know that it wont convert to any other hormones other than testosterone.

This is my Dragon deck, supplemented with a few Warriors, Fairys, and Spellcasters. Please rate it 1-10, and add any suggestions or ideas you have.
I haven’t dueled with my deck yet, trying to perfect it first, but I have test-dueled myself. The only problem I have is once every 2 beginning draws or so I will get either nothing but Spell/Trap cards, or nothing but Lvl 7+ Monsters, which makes it difficult to play my high levels.
Usually I can play Swords of Revealing Light or some other good Spell/Trap card which gives me time to summon something good but all too often I find myself drawing the super high lvls and not the ones I need.
Any help here would be great, thx!
I’ll help you bro. ont listen to all those guys up there. guess they jelous of your dragon cards..
