I want a more toner body, I met up with my personal trainer. But I was wondering if there isn’t supplements to make your body more leaner?
If you want to tone protein maybe. Creatine will give you water weight (3-6 lbs) so it will make you more bloated. For toning you just really need a reasonable diet. There is a lot of stuff out there. But you have to be careful because there are some tricky side effects especially for women.

I spend maybe an hour lifting 3x a week (tues, fri, and sun) is that bad? I know im getting stronger cause the weights go up/i can do more. i do bench, hammer strength shoulder, hammer strength pulldown, barbell curls, skullcrushers, barbell row, dumbbell bench, dips, pullups, pectoral fly, rear deltoid, and squats. sometimes a few more. i started upping my intake this week to 2500…end of week now and no added weight. on mondays and thursdays i have 3 hours of martial arts. i train mma so when im 18 i will fight.(tough cardio in that) so i got cardio, sometimes i run on wednesdays. i take creatine and protein shakes…what else can i do diff? any good supplements? workouts? eat more(i dont wanna though)? i just cant get bigger! i have been lifting on/off for like a year and seriously for like 3 months now…5 6ish maybe 57 and 143 pounds. i wanna get 160 by february…. shuld i give up lifting and just try and get MAD lean?? and help appreciated…
The easiest way to gain weight is u need to up ye food intake, remember its not always how much u eat but how frequently u eat and what u eat. the main kinds of food u should eat are meats because they are rich in protein which is vital for muscle growth and weight increase, dont worry, u dont need to eat too much more then u normally do, don’t worry it gets easier. try foods such as eggs and red meat. around 10 eggs a day i eat myself so try tht out and in time u will see the result but don’t let the training slip or u will get a belly the does the same.
get in touch with ye inner animal mate. Gd Luck

if the answer is yes than would someone tell me how?
Yes, of course you can.
Think back to the days of the gladiators. They were huge and powerful. You think they took any supplements?
People have been building superb physiques for centuries on a diet of eggs, steak and milk. All you need is a good healthy diet that is high in protein and hard training. And patience of course. You don’t build muscle overnight.
Finally, you absolutely MUST have a caloric surplus to gain weight. No way around this.

Hi iv recently taken up weight lifting and i would be very grateful for any advice on which supplements work best for this activity as im realy confused about which one,s to buy as there are so many on the market it makes choosing the correct one’s very confusing for the bigginer. Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me Lee
the only one i ever take is whey protein (link at the bottom) and its the only one that actually works. If you want to gain some muscle you have to up your protein intake a good bit (for me its about 150 grams a day, although as a beginner you wont need that much, which is about 8 chicken breast fillets, tasty i know but not really feasible, so i use the whey protein to help me up my intake a bit, usually take it about 3 times a day (2 is enough for a beginner) mid morning, mid afternoon, and then close to midnight before sleep. Its handy because you can take it to the office etc.
The one is use is unflavoured mixed with low fat milk it really doesn’t taste much of anything so i just neck it.

I am aware that in many cases the practitioner determines the effectiveness of any given art and that all martial arts are complex and beautiful. Having said this, how effective is shitosu ryu karate for self defense striking/mma striking? I am beginning to cross train in this syle of karate to supplement my brazilian jiu jitsu..
my bad my bad its ITOSU ryu karate i must have got the sh from ’shitsureshimas’ or something
Itosu ryu, is actually shito-ryu, Itosu Kai is the organization.
I’ve studied both shotokan and shito-ryu, I have studied shotokan for almost 30 years and shito-ryu for over 10 years.
It all depends on what you what to add to your bjj. Every style has its advantage and disadvantage.
Personally I prefer shotokan over shito-ryu, even though I am mostly focusing on shito-ryu.
Shotokan is both a hard and soft style. Long and short range fighting, some joint locks and throws
Goju ryu is a hard style, short range fighting
Isshin Ryu is mostly a soft style and close range fighting
Wado Ryu is mostly a soft style
Shito-Ryu. Is both a hard and soft style, mid range to long range fighting.
If you look at the linage all these styles came through Itosu Yasutsun or his teacher Matsumura, except for goju ryu
Shito ryu kind like a combination of shotokan and goju
Wado ryu is an off shoot of shotokan.

Vitamin supplements through water pipe, for example. Would the vitamins go into the body?
Mr Doesright, you fail.
Nope.
Vitamins need to be absorbed in the Small Intestine. There are two types of vitamins, Water Soluable, and Fat Soluable. When chyme(digested food) reaches the Small Inestine, the body begins to absorb all the vitamins and nutrients, they’re either directly absorbed into your blood stream, or absorbed by the lymph nodes(fat sol. vitamins A, D, E, K)
They can’t be absorbed into the nose, because they won’t reach all of the body and will be degraded by the time they reach the other parts of the body.
Check out my blog, I will be talking about vitamin consumption

I wanna build muscles like Bollywood or Hollywood actors. and I wanna build Six-Pack abs. I am a vegetarian. I have mediocre physique. I have heard of supplements such as Whey protein, Creatine, Glutamine etc. Are they useful for body. Are there side-effects of it on body. if not will there be in future in age such as 50, 60 or later or even early. please dispel my doubts regarding it. Thanks for Your time.
If you are just starting out the most important thing, other than exercise, is that you eat right. In order to build muscle you need healthy protein from foods like chicken and egg whites. However, it is recommended you get 130g of protein per day in order to gain muscle and a protein shake makes this a lot easier.
I have taken a number of different proteins some of which I found incredibly hard to digest. It often left me feeling extremely bloated so I tried to find alternatives. Hemp and pea protein were the two I decided I would try. Don’t take soy, I’m not a nutritionist, but a simple search on Google and you will find a lot of health experts saying it can be dangerous.
Anyway, I thoroughly recommend the hemp protein. Many other supplements will not be suitable for vegetarians, however, hemp protein comes from plants, is completely natural and I find it easy to digest. I suggest starting out with protein and read journals and reliable sources about other supplements and see what you think will work for you. I will leave you a link to the site from which I get my protein.

When I use certain products, i.e. Hydroxycut Hardcore or Black Powder, I noticed they worked great the first time around, but after awhile, they just seem to have little to no effect. Is my body adapting to the supplements, ultimately rendering them useless? Am I wasting my money continuously buying them?
There are a lot of reasons why this happens, but most guys do stop taking them after a while.

i was originally 250 and now 191. the hard thing is im not sure if i should build muscle (a UFC build) and start taking protein supplements like whey protein. im 14 and 5′10′. i want to live a long life but im not sure if bodybuilding will lessen my life span.
my hardest decision is if i should start taking extra protein and start muscle buillding. i currently train im kung fu and MMA.
please dont tell me i should be worried about education because i already have all that handled.
yeah, he’s right, as long as you don’t take anything retarded like steroids your fine.
with the exception of injury lifting and protein and even creatine can only extend your lifespan so lift away.
