Monday, October 26th, 2009Are protein supplements good for body building?
Monday, October 26th, 2009I’m currently weight training about 3-4 times a week. There are a lot of protein supplements/shakes in the gym and I was wondering if that’s good for muscle building. What are the positives/negatives?
Protein is needed to build muscle. You can get it from food such as eggs, meat, chicken, etc, but if you can’t eat a lot or just don’t want to, then protein shakes come in handy. There are no negatives except for the price.
what kind of things would a dietician prescribe to gain weight? if they would prescribe anything.?
Monday, October 26th, 2009I have an appointment set up and I know I’m doing everything right so what could they do? A little background: I’m an epic ectomorph, I take in 3000-4000 calories a day, with all the carbs i can get. I take mass gainers, protein, and other supplements and work out religiously, I don’t do too much cardio. Most everyone in my family are pretty ripped and into sports, body building and MMA so I don’t think it’s genetics.
I’m 5′11” and I weigh 130 pound.

Edit: I’m older than 18, I’ve been to doctors and have normal levels of hormones, and I have a full beard so I think puberty’s happened.
youre probably still young, just be patient. food and protein shakes are the only thing you need. I wouldnt waste my money on a dietician.
A tough card!
