I heard from someone that it’s not really great to take protein supplements, they can have negative impact.
Any truth in that?
I wanna build more muscles, working out regularly and takin proper diet. Growth seems to be slower than expectations.
You need to use both. Nutrition is the number one factor!! Also, make sure you are using a high quality chemical free whey protein minus the fillers and additives. PROTEIN IS KING!!!!!!

“He does take supplements,” Ariza said. “Absolutely, he has to. This couldn’t be done without them. I’m talking about multi-vitamins, trace minerals. We take other supplements for his kidney and liver because Manny is on such a high-protein diet. I blend several different kinds of proteins. We do take those things without a doubt, but all of them — all of them — are perfectly legal. I make sure I stay with the same brands I have used for years to make sure there are no additives I’m unaware of. If we did anything wrong it would show up in Manny’s urinalysis and I am completely in control of what goes into Manny. He knows everything he takes all comes from me and everything he puts into his body is my responsibility. I take it seriously.”

Truthfully, for 40 million dollars Manny Pacquiao could have his heroin addicted clone pi$$ clean while toking on a crack pipe and draw clean blood that matches his DNA from a inflated balloon, the truth is coffee is a performance enhancing substance and this whole controversy is simply an ego contest that may cost boxing the fight of the century. Who really cares what drugs or dietary supplements the fighters use, the dope Aaron Pryor used to defeat Alexis Arguello didn’t change the fact that the two fights were epic, why should we care what’s in their blood at the time of the fight?
Hey blog! Great question my friend.
I am as disappointed as you as many of the fans as well that the fight may not be officially dead, but as Dan Rafael said it is definitely "dying." I am rather frustrated for the lack of progress this week and I for one have been yearning for this fight to become official.
What truly happened in this situation that killed the fight was the way the Mayweather camp has been trying to install a negotiating process on random testing under the basis of one structure, the Mayweather way. Many fans dont even realize that negotiations work both ways and the Mayweather Camp has no boxing mandate to install a new regulation system. It is only the Nevada Athletic Commission that holds the regulatory mandate to perform drug test that is sanctioned by the state. Mayweather reserve no right whatsoever to make any new regulations nor possess the utmost power to dictate new terms that has never been done before in professional boxing (random blood test).
While many fans may have been perhaps misinformed that Pacquaio did officially agree to the preliminary principles of having blood drawn during the press conference, 30 days before the fight, and immediately before the fight, many continue to make false accusations that Pacquaio is on P.E.D’s.
What Mayweather Sr. did that propagated this explosion was his false accusation of Pacquiao without any level of substantations from data, records, affidavits, or any supported analysis. In the United States, making a false accusation without any support is a LEGAL DEFINITION OF A LIE.
The P.E.D’s makes no difference on how a boxer can perform thoroughly in the ring. Many boxers have been caught using P.E.D’s yet there are in no way perform pure domination or any super human skills. Take an example of Shane Mosley when he sued steroids against Oscar, I did not see a super human Shane Mosley! Athletes still must posses the right attributes, desire, and dedication to win. Those facets are much more significant than P.E.D’s.
I do not blame Manny for his lawsuit. The Mayweather camp deserves it. Their insistance of false accusations has ruined Manny’s name and may dent his legacy. For Manny he has always stated that his legacy matters more than money. Manny is no.6 wealthiest athlete in the world and the current highest paid boxer since the retirement of Oscar, yet you can see it in Manny’s gestures or statements, or plainly look in his eyes, he yearns for legacy . You will never see Manny make false accusations, insult any other boxer, or brag his money and fame. He wants the legacy, that is a higher price for him. and with this situation, his legacy is being destroyed by false statements.
In this forum, opinions, guessing, speculating, and suspicions may matter to some, but in the real world, it is intelligence, knowledge, and proof is what matters. In the Court of Law, lying under oath or public slander within the Nevada judicial system backed by the federal judicial court (Manny’s lawsuit is both state and federal), any athlete that commits to such may have his license suspended, removed, banned, and is force to pay huge sum of fine to the plaintiff.
My friend, the lawsuit is expected to rise to tens of millions which many lawyers and journalist across America are already making statements that Manny will win almost as much as he will be making for the fight with Mayweather. Facts are Manny is innocent, facts are the Mayweathers provided zero evidence to back up their false accusations. That is what destroyed this fight.
Manny agreed to the principles but the Mayweathers came up with new demands that is not sanctioned or mandated by the State of Nevada. It was within their own terms. Manny submitted to the tests, which is more than any boxer has done. Manny complied more than the standards of the Nevada Athletic Commission, but the Mayweathers wanted new rules in boxing and they wanted to make an example of Manny. Manny of course did not want to be played as an example or pay the consequences for the cheating and the slanders of the Mayweathers. It should be Roy Jones Jr., Shane Mosley, Ricardo Mayorga, Fernando Vargas, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and James Toney that deserve the harsh criticism from the Mayweathers and his fans.
Happy new Year to you and to all!!
Edit @ Desperateboy, excellent point my friend!
@Kobra Status and Clade, awesome points!
