I’ve been working out and training for martial arts, and i have a slim body type with a little above average muscles.
So i’ve been thinking about emphasizing on body building for awhile(maybe using protein gainers since i have a high metabolism), and tweak the way i train for my mixed martial arts momentarily.
I usually just work out without any change in my diet or any energy or dietary supplements helping my body, and practice speed and technique on my bag.
I’ve been thinking of changing my conditioning by leading a high protein and supplemented diet and working a bit more on my muscles and heart, and bulking up my body moderately.
Is this a good idea to becoming an overall better fighter?
Pretty much what the above answer says. A lot of martial arts are even designed for self defense without the need for lots of muscle, like hapkido and aikido. You’ll build the muscle you need simply by practicing your art.

Are you confused and unsure what to take when it comes to muscle building and fat loss supplements? If so, then welcome to the club because I’m confused about supplements as well. In fact I think if anyone tells you that they AREN’T confused about supplements, either they couldn’t care less about them, or they are lying and won’t let their egos admit that they are confused.
I mean every month there are new products hitting the market, some new weird and wonderful anabolic concoction that’s promised to be the long lost secret to achieving the ripped muscular body of your dreams. Or some new loss super duper fat loss diet loss pill that will melt the fat off you quicker then a stick of butter in a red hot frying pan.
And these supplements can be tempting. Especially when you read the glossy full page magazine ads with all the scientific jargon, and the picture of some jacked up muscle dude claiming that he built his body as a direct result of taking “Supplement X”. Then to top it off they’ll stick a picture in the background of a guy dressed as a doctor with a stethoscope around his neck and a clipboard in his hand to make the whole thing seem “official”.
I mean with all that stuff being heavily promoted in an internationally published bodybuilding magazine, how can one not help but to be a little intrigued about this magic muscle building breakthrough miracle that they are selling.
Now before you think that I’m just going to go on a big “Anti-Supplement” rant, I’m NOT. I actually do use and whole heartedly believe there are huge benefits to taking certain supplements. But what I don’t like is the deceptive tactics and BS that most supplement companies use when promoting their products.
My goal with this video is to help you become a more educated consumer so that you don’t fall prey to the lies and misconceptions that greedy supplement marketers use to trick you out of your hard earned money. I also want to help you make intelligent supplement choices that will move you closer to achieving the lean muscular physique you desire. Rather then just getting a lean wallet, which is all most people end up with when buying supplements.

http://www.WeightGainNetwork.com -► Discover How To Gain Weight & Build Muscle Fast!
Best Weight Gain Supplements:
Sean Nalewanyj cuts through all the hype and confusion to tell you what the best weight gain supplements are. You know… The top weight gain supplements that will help you build muscle fast and not waste your money on bogus hype and empty promises.
Watching this video will save you a ton of time and money. You’ll be able to bypass all the misinformation you’ve been fed about bodybuilding supplements once and for all.
Sean Nalewanyj isn’t affiliated with any of these weight gain supplement companies so you can trust his honest opinion.
One thing we need to get out of the way before we even begin is that supplements are not a mandatory part of a muscle building program. As long as you pay close attention to both your diet and training, you’ll build an impressive muscular body even without weight gain supplements.
But if you want to maximize your muscle building process and make the most gains in the shortest period of time, then there are a few weight gain products that can speed up your results.
Recommended Supplement #1: Whey Protein
The first supplement is whey protein powder which is the “granddaddy” of all the bodybuilding supplements out there. (The legal ones anyway.) Whey protein contains all 8 of the essential amino acids so it’s a complete and quality protein source.
it also has a high bioavailability which means your body will absorb a large percentage of the protein so very little will go to waste. it’s also high in branched chain amino acids (BCAA’s) which play an important role in preventing muscle breakdown or muscle catabolism.
Whey protein also comes in handy when you’re trying to get you 5-6 meals a day in. It’s much easier to down a quick protein shake than it is to cook and eat a chicken breast. See my point? You can easily replace 2-3 of your solid food meals with a simple liquid protein shake.
Recommended Supplement #2: Creatine Monohydrate
Creatine is the most widely researched sports supplement on store shelves today. Why? Because it works. Creatine will help you lift more weight in the gym, which, in turn, will help you build more lean muscle mass.
Creatine also increases muscle cell volumization by increasing the amount of water that’s stored in your muscles, decreases lactic acid buildup, decreases mental fatigue, and helps to improve recovery in-between workouts.
Body weight gains of 5 – 10 pounds over a 3-4 week period are not uncommon when you’re supplementing with creatine monohydrate.
Recommended Supplement #3: Multivitamin
The third supplement that makes the list is a basic high-potency multivitamin. The fact that you’re training with heavy weights 3 times per week means that your vitamin and mineral requirements are much higher than that of the average individual.
If your body is deficient in just a single vitamin or mineral it can have a negative impact on thousands of processes that are going on in your body,
That’s why you should include a high potency multivitamin as part of your muscle building program… To keep all those little processes working and running smoothly.
Recommended Supplement #4: Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’s)
The last supplement on the list is Essential Fatty Acids, otherwise known as the “good fats.” Some of the benefits you can expect are: Increase in anabolic hormone levels, improving insulin action, increasing energy production, and increasing your fat burning metabolism.
One of the best way to get your EFA supplementation is through the use of oils like flax seed oil and fish oil.

I am a bit overweight and now have started visiting gym. Besides losing weight, I wanted my body to be a bit muscular(just a little bit). But, I don’t want to take protein supplements for that. Can I still have a slim yet muscular look?
Absolutely. Keep going to the gym and eat a balanced diet, with plenty of lean meat, fish, almonds, soy and other high-protein low-fat foods.

i’m 17. i am an MMA fighter and i am planning on fighting ammeture next year. but i have a problem that i cant get solved. i weigh 132lbs. i am 4% body fat composition so i am pretty strong for my size but i want to put on about 20 lbs of MASS! i look really skinny but no matter how much i eat, work out, or what supplements i take i just cant gain weight. i tried for two months to gain weight after losing a grappling competition because of my small size to gain weight but i lost a pound. is there anything out there that will help me gain the weight i want?
Try weight gain supplements. Also, you should limit you’re cardio (running/ aerobics/ dance/ etc ..) and focus on stretching/ strength exercise to gain muscle instead. I recommend checking out this website below. It has tons of helpful tips on gaining weight. Hope this help.

I’ve been sticking to a good workout regimen for the past few weeks to gain muscle mass and strength. I want to boost my muscle making abilities, but don’t want to go on a supplement such as Creatine or HGH or anything like that.
Are there natural ways I can boost muscle density and strength through diet or natural supplements?
Whey Protein.
