How to start taking supplements

If you are new to the gym and keen to make gains but are unsure about which supplements to take, then the first thing you need to do is to address your diet as a whole and keep any supplementation as basic as possible. Take time to learn about food fundamentals such as which are good sources of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Try to plan a diet that provides all relevant nutrients at the required levels. Also devise a diet that is sustainable i.e. that you enjoy and is reasonably inexpensive.

    when should I start taking supplements?
    I just started working out and im somewhat under weight and i was wondering when should I start taking supplements like whey and glutamine. I want to get big an im starting to go to the gym 6 days a week. do u think its a good idea? if so wat supplement(s) do u think would show best result?
