    @neutrino78x …
    @neutrino78x Exactly, Bruce Lee; a movie star and martial arts innovator; not a fighter. Steven Seagal; actor, who’s never been in a legitimate fight. Plus, aikido is useless; there is a reason you only see demos of aikido, because applying said techniques in a live combat situation is just not possible. Mixed martial arts is not a fighting style, its an idea; an amalgamation of the most effective techniques of hand to hand combat, and the fact is certain styles and techniques aren’t effective.

  3. neutrino78x Says:

    @RebelWrestler45 …
    @RebelWrestler45 this is bruce lee we’re talking about, so it would be a head kick success, not attempt. Bruce Lee didn’t attempt kicks. and I haven’t seen MMA “proven” against non-MMA people….let’s see MMA jock vs Steven Seagal, who is 9th Dan Aikido.

  4. RebelWrestler45 Says:

    @neutrino78x a …
    @neutrino78x a headkick attempt just makes the takedown that much easier to complete, a knee, in certain situations can be a useful counter strike to a takedown, but its still not a high percentage technique. Wrestling is proven effective against skilled and quick fighters; unless you think guys like Thiago Alves, Kid Yamamoto, Belfort, Faber, and Manhoef are slow fighters with bad striking skills.

  5. neutrino78x Says:

    @RebelWrestler45 …
    @RebelWrestler45 Bruce would just kick the guy in the head when he “takes a shot”, that or flip him over and land him on his back. BL kicked so fast that 24 frames per second could not capture it. wrestling is NOT effective against someone who is quick and/or skilled. It is especially not effective against someone who outweighs you by a lot or with multiple attackers.

  6. RebelWrestler45 Says:

    @neutrino78x in …
    @neutrino78x in other words, your experience in TKD proves you’ve never grappled or sparred with any type of wrestler, much less a decorated folkstyle, freestyle, or greco wrestler. MMA wrestler jock vs Bruce Lee= Bruce will get taken to the ground immediately; no subs defense, no sprawl, no chance. (waving the flag of realistic, effective martial arts)

  7. neutrino78x Says:

    @RebelWrestler45 I …
    @RebelWrestler45 I did TKD for two years…I’ve never seen an “explosive” wrestler. MMA wrestler jock vs Bruce Lee. I think BL will win. ((waving the flag of real martial arts))

  8. RebelWrestler45 Says:

    @neutrino78x You’ve …
    @neutrino78x You’ve obviously never had to defend a wrestling shot; its nice and comfortable to speculate from a computer chair isn’t it. Wrestlers are some of the quickest and most explosive athletes in the world; you’re a computer jockey, just look up some Olympic freestyle wrestling; it may change your mind.

    @neutrino78x you obviously dont fight do you?

  11. neutrino78x Says:

    ok, so why wouldn’t …
    ok, so why wouldn’t you, as the defender, simply step to the side, so you only have to deal with one arm, then break the grip when/if it comes? I still say MMA/wrestling is for slow people.

    ya i think they guy who did “7 years in prison” is the guy to take advice from.

  16. NinjaWarriorDude Says:

    @Arcturistheballer …
    @Arcturistheballer I remember in ‘03 I got into street fight and dude grabbed my balls through my jeans as I was setting up a guillotine choke. He couldn’t get a good grip because of the think jeans, he was squeezing and I was squeezing hia arteries shut.. I won the fight. My dick wasn’t hurting much after wards. My adrenaline was numbing my body, his lack of 02 was numbing his brain.

  17. Romola2k10 Says:

    Stand your an idiot …
    Stand your an idiot street fighting doesnt mean jack in mma. Look at kimbo he was a good street fighter has the “killer instinct” you so claim that wins fights. He got destroyed because he had no technique which is what wins fights. Street fighting wins street fights not mma. Learn the facts when you try to step in the octagon

  18. StAndAl0neCompl3x Says:

    real fight, you do, …
    real fight, you do, and I think that’s what makes the difference and allows you to toss those rules out the window in a real altercation.

  19. StAndAl0neCompl3x Says:

    @b0ris360. Yeah, …
    @b0ris360. Yeah, I completely understand the whole “you fight how you train” philosophy but training and fighting are also two completely different contexts. My older brother, who did 7yrs in prison and has plenty of experience in street fights has always claimed that your “killer instinct” is what helps you win a fight. I think that, in combination with skills learned through regular training, make for a deadly fighter. You don’t need that killer instinct in a gym necessarily, but in a

    I agree, I’m sick …
    I agree, I’m sick of saying this to people. People think that just because there are rules in MMA, that you would somehow feel compelled to stick to those rules if you were in a real fight.

  21. Bleedblue56 Says:

    yeah, in case you …
    yeah, in case you didn’t read, this is for cage fighting and MMA, not for a street fight.

  22. Arcturistheballer Says:

    i love the “oh but …
    i love the “oh but i can gouge his eyes out” or “yeah but i could grab his nuts from here” comments.

    you do either of the things you said without sprawling and you will still end up on your back.

  23. larsls Says:

    Remember that if …
    Remember that if your knee misses, he’ll have a much easier time taking you down, since you’re standing on one leg. It’s risky to go for the knee. BTW, knees to the face are allowed in mma.
