Supplements for a beginner in MMA?
So I’m only 16 and just starting MMA at the place I’ve been BJJ for a while at. I’m very long and lanky and pretty skinny for my height ( 6′1 and 160) and I was just wondering if there were any supplements to get me stronger and reduce recovery time quickly?
L-Glutamine, whey protein.

Stay away from supplements. Seriously, they completely unregulated. Food and medicines are inspected and tested by the FDA, but for some reason supplements fall into a category that is exempt. Any independent study of these has shown them to either be worthless or dangerous.
Consumer Reports did an article a couple of months ago where they found undeclared pharmaceuticals in a bunch of supplements who bought ingredients from China.
Even the FDA’s own website states they do not regulate them unless they found to cause some harm. Typically that’s kidney failure, liver failure, heart disease, or death.
Talk to your doctor or a nutritionist about good foods you can eat that are cheaper and better than any supplement.

Stay away from supplements, especially since you are still growing. Many supplements are tainted.
I’d try to get more protein, ie- chicken breasts, fish, ect. in your diet.

the only supplements that work are supplemetns that can also be found in food. eat cereal, pasta and alot of meat for muscles and fruits and veggies for vitamins and you will never have to take supplements
the only two supplements you would take is protein and creatine but meat has both high quality protein and creatine so if you eat alot of meat you dont need supplements, got me
