I think a lot of this “herd instinct” he references is a desire to stay within industry “standards of care”. These are indeed set by the “industry leaders”. He is correct to say that these leaders are often incorrect and I would add do not have the purest of motives. Try explaining that to a jury of laypeople when you are being sued for deviating from standard of care. Call off the lawyers and you’ll see a lot more “thinking out of the box”.

I take levothyroid(T4) for the rest of my life. I would not stop taking your synthroid(I took synthroid for years). If you want to experiment with natural thyroid stimulants, you must be able to monitor your mental/physical state. If you have cancer and your doctor doesn’t seem to be active in your struggle then you should study physiology and endocrinology and learn what you can.
