UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. This will mark the second time the UFC has held an event in Sydney, following the sell-out UFC 110 in 2010.

Tickets for UFC Fight Club members went on sale on December 14, 2010. UFC 127 sold out moments after going on public sale on December 16, 2010, selling faster than tickets for UFC 110, and making it the fastest-selling event, along with UFC 115, in UFC history.

ESPN in U.K. will air the Ross Pearson vs. Spencer Fisher fight, which was confirmed by Jon Anik on ESPN MMA Live. Ion Television will air the Pearson/Fisher, Te-Huna/Gustafsson and Ring/Fukuda preliminary bouts[4], while the Perosh/Blackledge and Zhang/Rheinhardt preliminary bouts will stream on the UFC’s official Facebook page.

On February 9, it was announced that a knee injury had forced Carlos Condit out of his bout with Chris Lytle. Condit was replaced by promotional newcomer Brian Ebersole.

Strikeforce / M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Silva is an upcoming mixed martial arts event. It is expected to take place on February 12th, 2011 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The main card of this event will be broadcast live on Showtime, while the preliminary card will be broadcasted live on HDNet.

This event will mark the beginning of the eight-man Strikeforce World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament.

The winner of the Del Rosario-Johnson bout will be the first alternate in the Grand Prix while the winner of the Sefo-Overeem bout will be the second alternate. The Griggs-Villante bout may determine the third alternate in the tournament.

Andrei Arlovski was expected to face Josh Barnett[6], but Arlovski will now fight Sergei Kharitonov.

UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on February 5, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is officially sold out.

Former Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort was scheduled to fight Yushin Okami at UFC 122. However, UFC President Dana White said that Belfort would instead challenge Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva for the belt.

A bout between Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham was not expected for this event. The fight was moved to UFC: Fight For The Troops 2. However, Florian pulled out due to injury on December 6, and Dunham instead fought Melvin Guillard.

A bout between Jon Fitch and Jake Ellenberger was expected for this event. However Fitch was pulled from the bout and will now fight B.J. Penn at UFC 127.[6] Jake Ellenberger will remain on the card and will now fight Carlos Eduardo Rocha.

Sam Stout withdrew from his bout with Paul Kelly due to injury and will be replaced by Donald Cerrone.

UFC 126 will feature two preliminary fights live on Spike TV.

UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck 2 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on December 11, 2010 at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. The event was the fourth that the UFC has hosted at the Bell Centre following UFC 83, UFC 97 and UFC 113 and the fifth event held in Canada along with UFC 115 which was held in Vancouver, British Columbia.

A training injury forced Jason MacDonald out of his fight with Rafael Natal on October 20, 2010. He was replaced by UFC newcomer Jesse Bongfeldt.

On October 26, 2010, Anthony Waldburger had to pull out of his fight with Matt Riddle due to an injury. Sean Pierson will be replacing him.

UFC 124 featured live preliminary bouts streamed on UFC.com rather than Spike TV due to the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards being aired in the same time slot.

UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 20, 2010 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan. This will be the first UFC event in the Metro Detroit area since UFC 9.

UFC 123 will feature preliminary fights live on Spike TV.

On October 13, 2010, Rory MacDonald had to withdraw from his fight against Matt Brown. He was replaced by Brian Foster.
