Let’s look at supplements – what’s worth your money and what’s not. We’ll even break down a hierarchy of what’s MOST important. This is coming from a guy who has experimented for over a year w/ extreme workouts like P90X, Insanity, ChaLEAN Extreme, Asylum, RevAbs, and more. You HAVE to fuel your body correctly to get the most from your journey towards a healthier you!

I think the order of importance looks like this:
1) Diet (clean eating)
2) Exercise (working HARD)
3) Vitamins & Minerals (in a form your body can easily use)
4) Protein (I like Whey the best)
5) Pre/Post workout supplements (I think POST-workout supps are more important)
6) Metabolism boosters

In other words, don’t invest in #6 if #1 isn’t in good shape – that’s wasted money. I’ve personally tested a LARGE number of supplements and training methods and I find this list to be very accurate, even in people of widely different compositions. The ACTIVIT vitamins are outstanding (from BeachBody) but I think Shakeology is a superior product because it affects my vitamin, mineral, protein, digestion, immune system, weight loss, etc. LOVE Shakeology – you should too!

Every other beginner seems to think supplements are MUST-HAVE’s. I was that way years ago. It’d be too hard to simply persuade every beginner out there to eat right and train right, but we all try our best right?

All us who’ve been training for 4+ years (or more) KNOW that supplements are INSIGNIFICANT compared to real food, determination, solid work ethic, and lifting technique and intensity. A beginner in bodybuilding doesn’t quite have the same mindstate as someone who’s been lifting for multiple years.

This video takes on the theme that nearly all beginners want to take supplements and think they need supplements to grow muscle/lose fat/bodybuild.

I give my recommendation to beginners as well as friends of beginners that preworkout supplements MIGHT be a good idea to be taken as beginner supplement….later in the long run. Listen to what I have to say, and maybe you’ll see what I mean in the video.

Don’t comment without watching the full video – please. That’d be like watching the first 5 minutes of braveheart and saying the movie sucks because there’s no killing. (when indeed there’s a SH*T TON of killing and action later on) Get my point? btw that movie ROCKS
