This week our diverse panel gave us an opportunity to look at the different ways to become an MMA fighter. 
For the first time since Cyborg vs Carano, women will be headlining a Strikeforce card as Miesha Tate takes on Ronda Rousey on March 3rd. Though the fight is still a month away the trash talking is already at full fervor.
Last week Mo Lawal tested positive for a banned substance and was subsiquently suspended for a year and stripped of his victory over Lorenz Larkin, pending a hearing next week.
MMA H.E.A.T. went to Throwdown Training Center in Las Vegas, NV, to see UFC welterweight title contender Nick Diaz and Strikeforce title challenger Ronda Rousey get in the cage with Middle Easy’s Layzie The Savage. Surprising no one, the two professional MMA fighters school the intrepid reporter with submissions six times in the course of a few minutes. As an added bonus, in this clip we also gain insight on the origins of Layzie’s nickname.
